My Favorite Easter Memory!

Posted by on April 7, 2012

With Easter being tomorrow I’m thinking about some of my Easter memories growing up.

My all time favorite was when a few of my cousins took me to a park in St. Paul to partake in an Easter Hunt.  At the beginning of the hunt we were all told to look for the “golden” egg, and throughout the day different clues were called out.

One such clue was that the egg was by some “trash.” So I started to look around all the trash bins, one kid ran really fast and knocked some dirt surrounding one such trash can, and lo and behold there was an egg.  It was the plastic gold.  But I kept searching, I was going to find that GOLDEN egg 😉

A few minutes later my cousin found me and asked how I was doing, and I showed her the egg.  She looks at me, and said, YOU WON, YOU WON, grabbed my hand and away we ran to the headquarters.  Everything happened so fast.  I had won a t-shirt, and they took my picture to be placed in the local paper.

And alls I could think about was how disappointed I was because the egg really wasn’t “GOLD.”  Yep.  That is how literal I am 😉

What is your favorite Easter Memory?

Hi there, found you over at Comment Blogger!
I see you are part of SITS girls, so am I! I’m attending the Philly Conference.
Anyway, wanted to respond about my favorite easter memory: totally love to remember finding easter baskets hidden by my grandfather at his and grandma’s house. He hid them so well and got an absolute kick out of watching us find them! One time, one was in the washing machine–under some clothes! Thanks for prompting that memory (so long ago). 🙂

Thanks for sharing your memory with me =) I also have a memory of going to an Aunt’s farm in Wisconsin and doing a fun easter egg hunt with my other little cousins. It was a ton of fun and a lot of good memories came from that =)

My favorite Easter moment is also related to my cousins, we would always gather at my aunts home and have a nice early dinner and an egg hunt wearing beautiful spring dresses with a hat all in spring colors. It is part of the best memories I have. 🙂 I love your story because you were with your cousins and that is always fun: being with family.
