With Easter being tomorrow I’m thinking about some of my Easter memories growing up.
My all time favorite was when a few of my cousins took me to a park in St. Paul to partake in an Easter Hunt. At the beginning of the hunt we were all told to look for the “golden” egg, and throughout the day different clues were called out.
One such clue was that the egg was by some “trash.” So I started to look around all the trash bins, one kid ran really fast and knocked some dirt surrounding one such trash can, and lo and behold there was an egg. It was the plastic gold. But I kept searching, I was going to find that GOLDEN egg 😉
A few minutes later my cousin found me and asked how I was doing, and I showed her the egg. She looks at me, and said, YOU WON, YOU WON, grabbed my hand and away we ran to the headquarters. Everything happened so fast. I had won a t-shirt, and they took my picture to be placed in the local paper.
And alls I could think about was how disappointed I was because the egg really wasn’t “GOLD.” Yep. That is how literal I am 😉
What is your favorite Easter Memory?
