Old Town Orange!

Posted by on April 15, 2012

Sometimes when you move some place new you don’t necessarily know of all the fun local spots to hangout, especially if you don’t know the area all to well.

So when Erin from Horsin’ Around told me about Old Town Orange, I had to check it out.

What is Old Town Orange?  Well, it’s pretty much a circle of different streets with fun antique shops and boutiques you walk around with fabulous places to eat along the way.

Back home, in Minnesota, once a year I would head out to Stillwater, MN and walk along their main street going through the antique shops so this place very much reminded me of home, and one of my favorite towns to visit.  It was literally a treasure waiting to be found for me!

One of the first things I did was stop off at the The Perfect Circle Cupcakery and picked out some cupcakes.  I was feeling the Lemon Kiss and the Banana flavor. I took these home to enjoy for later 😉

I walked along Glassell Avenue looking at the names along the way.  The Filling Station caught my attention and I was almost tempted to eat there.  I continued to walk along and crossed the street next to Bruxie.  The thought of Waffle Sandwiches was tempting but I continued to walk along the way.

I stopped off at Dragonfly’s Shops and Gardens to look at all the fun gardening creations.  I wish I had a small yard to plant a small garden.  Unfortunately our apartment doesn’t radiate enough sunlight to grow anything.

I continued to walk when I ran across “Bagel Me” and that was exactly the kind of food I was craving so I stopped in to grab some food and a smoothie.  Their smoothies are delicious and a great SIZE.  I also had their bagel BLT sandwich which was numious and a regular toasted bagel.  I was happy as I munched away.

I went in a few antique shops afterwards then headed home.  I was happy to find a place that reminded me of one of my favorite places from home, but this time around, everything was so fresh and new to me.

If you want to check out Old Town Orange, this Friday would be a GREAT time to do it.  I was told about an event happening down there and want to fill you all in on it:
