LobsterFest LobsterFest LobsterFest

Posted by on September 16, 2012

If you don’t know by now I reside in San Pedro so if there’s any kind of event happening there I feel a huge “pride” in attending.  So when I won tickets for the Lobster Fest from Mary at Along Comes Mary I knew we’d make the most of it and have a good time.

So Friday night came along, and my SO and I headed to the festival.  I had my hat from the previous year, and we decided to make it a date night.  Check out our pictures below:

Last year was my first time in attendance at the LobsterFest, and it was my first time ever having lobster.  My SO showed me how to shell a lobster, and then I had my first bite.  It was quite heavenly.  A year went by, and this year we tried it out again.  When the lobster was in front of me I completely forgot how to shell it out.  Luckily my SO was with me again, I do need him for this process 😉

He shelled it out, and I enjoyed my lobster.  They have the 2 lobsters on one plate for 33 dollars.  A good deal for the two of us.  If you’re not a fan of lobster, even though it’s really the reason to go to this festival, there are various food trucks with other food options available for you, and some vendors too including funnel cake.  And make sure to try out the lemonade (blueberry and strawberry varieties available.)

After you’re done eating your lobster walk around the various vendor booths where they’re selling jewelry, clothing, and lobster hats, and various other fun things to look at.

There are also rides for your enjoyment and bands playing throughout the night.  On Friday evening we sat in on the band, “Races” and really enjoyed their music.  Check out their music here.

It was a great date night, and it’s become my SO’s and I annual tradition of when we indulge in some “lobster.”

Did you make it out to Lobsterfest this past weekend?
