Talking about #HolidayGuide with #SearsStyle #cbias #spon

Since about the beginning of November I have been giddy with excitement about the holiday months ahead.  I have already dove into full on baking mode, and this past week I have been planning out my gift buying strategies for the holidays.

So when the opportunity presented itself for me to check out Sears Holiday Gift Guide being put together by Party Blu Prints, I couldn’t wait.

Inside the Holiday Gift guide there were ideas how to decorate your home to sharing some cookie recipes and drink recipes to some new hot products to pick up during the holidays.

This particular cookie recipe for Candied Snickerdoodles really caught my eye.  Ever since I was a little girl I was drawn to cookies or doughnuts covered in sprinkles so this is a must try recipe for me.

I also learned some new trends that were coming out for styling your home:

I wasn’t surprised to see DIY projects as the number one trend in home decorating.  With the ease of sharing on social media I am constantly looking for ideas how to decorate my home, and the holidays are no exception.

And it was interesting me to see how the “White Christmas” tradition is coming back this season with the color “white” being in.  They add such subtle touches to your home.

But the area I was paying the most attention to in the #HolidayGuide was in their #SearsStyle section.  In a few weeks I will be heading out to a local Sears where I will be picking out my holiday outfit.  I really want to pick something that is “in” for this season and the gift gave out some of this year’s hottest trends:

The first trend that really stuck out for me was: The Little Red Dress, and I honestly think this will be my go when I go to Sears to shop.  I have always wanted a little red dress, and this is just the occasional to have one.  Think for those holiday parties right around the corner, or even for the magic of the actual holidays, this number will come in handy.  And, if I go with the other trend of getting a blazer, I could easily wear one right over the number.

One trend I have also noticed this season were the “sequins” trend which leads me to my other love of dresses in the glitter sweater dresses seen all over.  I am a sucker for those kind of dresses.  How about you?

Another trend that I have fallen in love with this season is that “statement jewelry” piece.  That one piece of jewelry that really goes with the outfit, or makes the outfit all in its own.  Besides, every girl loves her some bling.

And I have to agree on the festive shoes.  Just seeing those great shoes in the #holidayguide makes me realize how much I want a new pair of shoes.

When I go shopping I have a very distinct fashion style.  The outfits and accessories have to give me a certain vibe.  If I don’t feel that vibe with it, it doesn’t get bought.  I call my fashion style “Jamie Style,” because of that vibe feeling I get with the clothes I purchase.

So when I head to Sears, I will be looking for a Little Red Dress or a Glitter Sweater Dress for my holiday outfit.  And I will make sure to swing by the shoes section to see if there happens to be a pair of shoes that say “Happy Holidays” to me. What kind of things will you be looking for when you purchase your holiday outfit this season?

So, keep an eye out in the weeks ahead when I talk about my experience at Sears and what I did end up buying.
