A little bit about me.

Posted by on April 1, 2013

Hey guys!

It’s been awhile since I did a blog post where I just talked about me.  It is now April, crazy.  Wasn’t it just the holidays?  The time flies by the older we get, I swear.

Anyways.  I’m going to do a little Q & A with myself.  Hmm, is that weird?

1) Favorite Beverage, as of late?

I have a couple: ‘Tude Juice, Sneaky Pete’s, and Zola Acai Pomegranate Juice.

2) Favorite Hobby?

As of late, it has been baking.  Since the new year I’ve been on a huge baking kick.  If you didn’t know I started a food blog called “MN Girl Baking,” where I’ve been developing different recipes and making recipes for the first time.

Prior to today I never attempted Egg Salad before.  I learned today how easy it was to make, and how silly I feel for always thinking it was so hard 😉

3) Festival I’m looking forward to this summer.

Strawberry Festival 074

There are a few: California Strawberry Festival in May, LA County Fair, OC Fair, LobsterFest, Crawfish Festival and the Pasadena Chalk Festival.

4) Weekend Getaways up ahead?

In May, my love and I are headed to Catalina Island.  It’ll be our first time visiting and we are so excited about the weekend away.  It’s also our plans to head to Santa Barbara sometime this summer.

5) Favorite Places to go in LA?

Favorite Place in the city: Original Farmer’s Market

Favorite Coffee Shop: Coffee Cartel in Redondo Beach

Favorite Restaurant: Dominique’s Kitchen in Redondo Beach

Favorite Beach: Crystal Cove

Favorite place for wine: San Antonio Winery.  Such a neat little place close to Downtown LA

6) Favorite Art spots?

I love “First Thursdays” in San Pedro.  I also am a huge fan of The Brewery Art Walks which their spring open house is April 27th and 28th.  Also a huge fan of the Downtown Art Walk and Bergamot Station.

7) For a transplant into LA, places to recommend to go see upon the first month of arrival?

Toughie!  Definitely check out The Getty, Original Farmer’s Market, and walk the iconic Hollywood Blvd.  And check out the food trucks.

8) Favorite TV Shows?

I’m addicted to these shows: Burn Notice, White Collar, Revenge, and enjoy Switched at Birth too

9) Favorite Place to take Photographs in LA?

10) Ideal Vacation spot?

Taking a two week vacation to Napa Valley and just exploring the wineries. ;0
