When I first found out that Chevrolet was coming out with built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi into their cars, I was ecstatic. I knew the time was coming, the question was when?

As a person that is constantly driving during her day job, and spends more time in her car than any other place throughout the week, the built in 4G-LTE Wi-Fi is a game changer. I’m thinking of those 10 minute breaks I give myself while at work, as I’m parked outside my next customer. In those moments, that Wi-Fi will truly come in handy. During those times where I check my emails, my social networks, and anything else I need to accomplish throughout the day.

But also during the weekends when my other half and I are discussing where to go for dinner or what movie to see, that Wi-Fi will be there helping us decide along the way. It’ll make accessing information through our tablets that much easier. The On-Star 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot provides a better in-vehicle experience than your smartphone. The stronger signal delivers a fast, reliable connection, and after initial set-up is automatically on every time you enter your vehicle.

And for those with children? Just think about the convenience of those road trips by having the Wi-Fi available. Movies on the go to fun games and more to entertain your children with.

The 4G LTE Wi-Fi is already available in the 2015 Impala and 2015 Malibu and is soon coming to these other vehicle models: 2015 Spark, 2015 Sonic, 2015 Cruze, 2015 Volt, 2015 SS, 2015 Corvette, 2015 Trax, 2015 Equinox, 2015 Tahoe, 2015 Suburban, 2015 Colorado, and the 2015 Silverado.

How will you use Wi-Fi in your vehicle? Please keep in mind that the Wi-Fi is made available for those drivers that have their vehicles parked, or for passengers in the vehicle. Chevrolet does not encourage distracted driving.
