One Last Summer Hurrah with Anew Wines!

Last Summer, our first full summer in NorCal, we created a new tradition with all of my other half’s cousins.  A tradition that was created around birthdays.  The tradition? Every time a cousin had a birthday we’d get together for an epic camping trip.

The first camping excursion took place last summer within the Delta Area of California, another birthday adventure took them to the mountains of Lake County, and then another birthday adventure took us on a camping outing to Half Moon Bay.

This year, we were craving a bit of a camping beach adventure, so, the cousins and my other half decided on going to one of their favorite childhood stomping grounds, Lawson’s Landing, right off of Dillon Beach.

Right before the trip I received a package of Anew Wines, and I knew it was the perfect time to introduce these WINES to our family and friends… Right before the trip, I put together the gift bags that would be handed out at the end of the camping excursion:

And on Saturday, after a full day playing at the beach, we pulled out the bottles of wine to create our Camping Sangrias:

I was honestly surprised how much my other half enjoyed creating his Sangria.  We had a variety of different fruits cut up: Canteloupe, Watermelon, Nectarines, Peaches, and Apples, and we had the two varietals of ANew Wines: Pinot Grigio and Rose.

And then, everyone else could pour their wine then choose the fruit they wanted to put into them.

The Pinot Grigio had flavor notes of Melon, Pear and Tropical notes making the Melons, Peaches and Apples a perfect pairing inside.

The Rose had flavor notes of Strawberry, Watermelon and Peach making the Watermelon and Nectarines a perfect pairing.

Those were, at least, my suggestions, but everyone else could create what they wanted…

Making it the perfect ending to a GREAT day at the beach…

Although, I must say, wine and the beach just might be the perfect pairing…
