This is my first fall away from home, and boy, do I miss it. I keep thinking back to what I would be doing back home right about now. Visiting those apple orchards, driving up north to look at the fall colors, or sitting down with a delicious piece of pumpkin pie.
There was always this favorite apple orchard and winery I would visit in Stillwater, MN. I’d get a piece of apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream and just sit back and watch the children around me visit the petting zoo. It was so beautiful.
I’m not saying things don’t happen out here in LA, I just honestly haven’t found my own way to embrace fall out here. It’s hard when there are no leaves falling, or change of the colors. However, I do notice the petting zoo’s going up around town, and the hay bales coming in.
So, I have to ask you fellow Angeleno’s out there. How to make it feel like fall out here? =)
