FREE

A wonderful woman of the name of Jenny from the blog, The Southern Institute stopped by my blog tonight and left me a comment.

I ran off right away to take a peak at her blog, and she had a link up entitled:

One Word for the New Year.  “What is your word for 2012?” This is where you think of one word, and incorporate it into your life for 2012.  I love the concept.

Right away I ran down a list of words:

Focus:  Nah, not quite right.

Organized:  The truth is, I’m not, so making it my word didn’t quite fit.

Motivated: Close, but not quite.

Liberated: I like the name, but doesn’t roll off my tongue quite right.

Amazing:  I like the positive vibe it encompasses.

Warmth: Nice, headed in the right direction.

FREE

That’s the word.  That’s it.  The one simple word of FREE.  How will I incorporate this into my life?

Well, the meaning of the word FREE has many, but for me it means to be FREE in mind, body, and spirit.  It means for me to stop worrying how others view me, it means to stop worrying about sharing my opinion.  It means for me to stop worrying about failure or life choices.

Instead, it is just that.

FREE

I am FREE to be me.  I am FREE to think what I think.  I am FREE to share my opinions, and I am FREE to go after my dreams.  FREE is the perfect word for me in this year as I continue to chase my dreams, continue to enjoy life, and continue to explore this wonderful city of LA.

And, when it comes down to it: Being FREE is quite the LIBERATING experience 😉
