Everyone loves a GREAT romance, right? I know these are the kind of novels that get me every time, and you will find this in the book “Collison Course.”
Collision Course is a warm loving story about two college kids, Lincoln Comstock and Keli Holloway, who get off on a rocky road to romance. In their creative writing course, Lincoln trashes Keli’s first offering before the entire class, just to get her attention. Keli is very sensitive about her creative efforts. As a consequence, Lincoln has started his romance by shooting himself in the foot.
This was the perfect book for me to read because it brought me back to my college days of sitting in class, and of course, the peskiness of others in the class. All romances don’t necessarily start easy, right? But, the book started in a creative writing course. With my love of writing, I dove right into the book.
This was a nice easy read that made you remember those first days of a relationship just beginning to blossom and bloom, and you see why some people click, and in a instance, how some don’t.
But what I love even more about this book is the story behind the author. Chuck Gleason, at 84 years old, is writing classic love stories. He met his wife at the age of 15 and they are still married 63 years later. In his own words, “If you marry your best friend you’ll have a wonderful life.” And now he’s truly capturing the love of his wife through his writing in his love stories.
