West Hollywood Halloween Carnival!

Posted by on November 1, 2011

This was my first Halloween partaking since moving to Los Angeles, and I attended the biggest street faire around.  It was a blast seeing all of the costumes and taking pictures.  Some people were sooo creative!  Now I must share some of my favorites from the night =)

Okay, it might not be a costume, but anyone with a snake is going to stop me in my tracks.  Just so you know I’m petrified of them.  I could not touch one or even come close to holding one for the life of me, but I must say I was pretty enthralled with watching that little guy move around.

I absolutely loved her costume! The metallic really stood out, and it was an amazing costume.  She has to be mentioned!

If anyone is afraid of clowns, stay away from this guy.  He went all out.  Rolling around on his wheels, and accompanying with his clown friends, he was a sight to see.  Once the lights went out, he even lit up.  Quite impressive!

This guy brought his Best Costume Evah Frame with him throughout the night and posed in a variety of pictures with people’s costumes.  I must say it was a brilliant idea!  It made for some great poses.

And this was the best Marilyn costume I saw throughout the night.  I want to give her mad props.

It was great seeing some of the couple outfits throughout the night.  I love this scarecrow couple.  They made the outfits look great, and also showed me it’s okay to be original.  They were the only scarecrows I saw throughout the entire night!

For me, this was the best costume of the night!  I loved watching all of the SAW movies, and when I saw him/her riding around on the tricycle, I had to take a picture.  Of course, it made me think of the movies and how much I want to watch them all over again.  So, you are my best costume winner for the evening!

And well, of course, I can’t forget my own costume.  This was the first Halloween I dressed up for in years.  I tried to be a pirate.  It was a very unique pirate costume, almost English laden style, but I’m glad I did it.  I think this will be the first of many years of dressing up for Halloween. I was reminded about how fun it can be, and of course, how truly creative people can be.  Next year, I must put a little more thought into the costume.  Who knows what I’ll come up with.

And I almost forgot about this!

There were 2 fathers with their daughters.  The daughters dressed as smurfette and then the fathers as Papa Smurf.  It was pretty creative, and super cute.
