California Wine Month

Happy September everyone, and this leads to my favorite month of the year.  Not just because it is California Wine Month, but because September has always been a month of change for me, and this September, is no exception as I will be moving to Northern California at the end of it.

But, yes, September is California Wine Month and I’d like to show case a variety of events happening in the different wine regions for the month long celebrations:

Temecula:

Purchase a SIP pass for just 35 dollars, and you will receive a flight from 4 of the 35 wineries within the region.

On September 14th: The annual CRUSH event will be taking place at Calloway Winery.  Tickets are 75 PP or 100 VIP PP.   This event will bring together all of the winemakers from the 35 wineries, with gourmet foods, dancing and entertainment throughout the night.  A fun event not to miss. Event is from 7 to 9:30pm on September 14th.

San Luis Obispo:

Book your trip to San Luis Obispo during the month of September and partake in various activities and events happening throughout the month:

September 4th: Casitas Estate Farm to Fork Farmer’s Market Lunch Tour

September 7th: 11th Annual Rendezvous

September 7th: I Madonnari Festival: Each September the Plaza of the Old Mission in San Luis Obispo is transformed with color ful large scale paintings by artists and young people.

September 8th: CCRRF Wine Train: In Celebration of Railroad Festival, the second Sunday of the month will offer wine train excursions.

September 8th: Walking Vineyard Tour: Come to San Miguel to join in the California Wine Month Celebrations as we tour the Villa San-Juliette estate vineyards and end with lunch.

September 14th: Morro Bay Avocado and Margarita Festival

September 14th: Orchard to Table: Olive Oil Experience and Dinner: Just 30 spots available so make your reservations fast.

September 15th: Partake in the Old Fashion Grape Stomp in San Miguel

September 18th: CCRRF: A special Wine Train Excursion has been scheduled for Santa Barbara

September 21st: 805 Beach Festival: Celebrate the last day of summer at this beach festival in Avila Beach.

September 26-28: Sunset: Savor the Central Coast.  This three day event allows for you to find the latest culinary and wine trends from across California and the Western Coast.

September 26th: Arroyo Grande Harvest Festival: Kicks off Friday evening at 4pm.

Paso Robles:

Paso Robles, very close to San Luis Obispo also has a variety of fun events planned for the month of September including the 3 Day Savor Festival with a variety of dinners, Sunset in the Vineyards at Vina Robles and more.

Throughout the month there are a variety of hotel accommodations packages to choose from.  Stay at the Adelaide Inn to the Paso  Robles Inn to many more.

Livermore County:

There are a variety of wine events happening in Livermore County during the month of September:

Sept. 5th: Winemaker Brent Amos is pouring wine at 1st Street Wine Company: 10 dollars

Sept. 12th: REO Speedwagon at Wente Vineyards

Sept. 21st: RM Harvest Celebration.  Cost: 10 dollars

Sept. 26th: California Wine Month Luncheon in the Garden

Cost: 125 dollars.

Sept. 27th: Port and Cigars Under the Stars

Cost: 25 dollars

Sept. 28th: Grape Stompin Wine Sippin

McGrail Vineyards and Winery

12 – 4:30pm

Cost: 25 dollars
