Review of Just Dance Disney #ubichamp #jddisney

This was MY first experience with any of the Just Dance Games, and the day it arrived I was so excited to try it out.  Dancing along to my favorite Disney songs, I was starting to reminisce of younger days.
I put it in the WII, and soon learned what the whole “Just Dance” experience was all about.  There were 4 different play options available: Just Dance, Balloon Pop, Continuous Play, and creating your own playlists.  I followed the characters on the screen as I danced on my own at home.

Within 2 songs I was instantly tired, and I was soon reminded HOW awesome the WII was in getting you to be active.  Lets not discuss my scores, it took me a bit to get use to the dance moves, and what I was actually suppose to be doing in the game.

I was expecting a lot of the Older Classic Disney Songs on this game, bu t was really surprised with how many newer Disney songs were added to the mix:

I could definitely see how this would be a fun children’s game especially to be played with friends and siblings, and even when the parents got involved.

And whenever I need a good workout, I know this is a game I will be popping into the wii to try out all over again.

Baking with #torani Syrups! #shespeak #spon

When I first received my package of Torani Syrup and looked at the flavors: hazelnut and Gingerbread, I admit, I was a bit stumped with what I would do with them.

This was my first time working with Torani Syrups.  Since I am not a coffee drinker, I knew I wouldn’t be utiliziing the syrups in coffee.

But I knew I really wanted to bake with them.  The question was whether or not it would all work out in the end.

The first idea I had was to make cupcakes.  I grabbed my white cake mix, looked on the back of the box.  Ingredients needed: water, oil, and egg.  I then got the bright idea of substituting the Hazelnut Torani Syrup in place of the water.

So I mixed the ingredients together and popped the cupcakes in the oven.  A half hour later took those babies out, and tried one out.  The cupcake was so flavorful and really gave THE EXTRA touch I was looking for when making cupcakes.  I can’t wait to try it with other varieties of Torani Syrup.

I then went the extra mile because it was close to the holidays to make a cupcake tree:

I then looked to the Gingerbread Torani Syrup and thought “what the heck will I do with this one?”  I then looked at my gingerbread mix, looked at the back of the box and realized I could also try to substitute the syrup for the water.

The Gingerbread Cake turned out great, and in the process I decided to literally make “gingerbread cakes.”

gingerbreadcakeSo my Gingerbread came out a little messy, and with others, pieces were falling apart, but it was the idea 😉

This was my first time doing anything with Torani Syrup, but after making with them I am truly sold.  I can’t wait to check out other flavors to see what will inspire me next.

An evening with the Circus!

I don’t remember the last time I had been to the circus.  Needless to say, it had been a really long time.

Also, I understand, a majority of people feel you reach a certain age, and the circus just isn’t as magical as it was as a child.

However, this past Friday evening, we went out to Circus Vargas.  Circus Vargas was traveling around SoCal, and one thing I learned is that this was a Circus without animals.

Their start came from the Trabador’s Trapeze.  Aerial arts are very much apart of  the show, but they bring in elements of humor with cute little skits throughout the show where they bring in audience participation, tight rope walkers, ladies that know how to work the rings, and jugglers throughout the show.

I was really impressed with the show, and now want to show you a few of the pictures:

Looks like fun, right?  I respect all of the work that goes in to putting on a Circus show, and all of the work it took to learn all of the stunts shown throughout the show: trapeze, rings, motorcycles, being shot out of a rocket, and more!
