No Visit this Wednesday!

Those that are new to my blog don’t know this, but for those that have been following, you know every Wednesday I take us on a journey for Whimsical Wednesday.  We go to a place I’ve visited in the past or a place I’d love to visit to someday.

This week, unfortunately, we’re not going anywhere.  I wanted to take a moment to talk about how I’m taking this weekly post a bit more seriously.

It started last week.  I started to think about all the travel possibilities out there.  I got a little overwhelmed.  I also realized there is so much potential.  Each state in the US has something to offer, and I really want to begin showcasing that.

So, that’s when I went online, and begin signing up to receive free travel guides.  Every state has them, and a lot of cities carry their own travel guides too.  So I signed up for about 20 to start.  (Which reminds me, I need to go sign up for the other half.)

Also, this weekend in Long Beach there is a travel and adventure show happening at the convention center.  I’m going to swing by there and check it out, and see what travel information I can dig up while there.

I want to showcase brilliant locations.  I want to showcase fun places to travel.  I want to showcase the possibilities.   I guess, in a way, this is my outlet for becoming the travel writer I’ve always wanted to become 😉

So, I hope you enjoy.

And does anyone else find it ironic that the first TRAVEL GUIDE I received was from Minneapolis/St. Paul?? =)

I don’t wear makeup!

I don’t wear makeup, but the entire reason I don’t is just because I don’t know how to use it.  I have seen how it can make a person look truly amazing and flattering.  I have seen how it can make a person fall in a person’s eyes even more.

However, the reason I don’t wear it is because I am clueless about how to put it on.  I was never taught how to.

Sure, I’ve attended Mary Kay parties, and this is where I learned how to put on eyeshadow, however, as far as everything else, I am clueless.

I am fair skinned.  Concealers were always hard for me to find a matching color so I stayed away from them.  I always liked blushes, but overtime I realized I blushed naturally so I wasn’t sure if I even needed it.

But when it comes to lipliners, eyeliners, eyeshadows, and everything in between, I just don’t know how to put makeup on without feeling or looking like a clown.

So I’m reaching out to women, my readers, in asking this, what are some of you makeup techniques? What are you willing to share with me?  Some of your tricks, some of the makeup brands you use?

I’m getting older, and I feel in a few years I’m going to be looking towards that makeup to start covering up a few things, and to help showcase a few more things.

So HELP, please? =)

A little bit of my past.

Nothing is more fun than going through your old baby pictures and showing some of your favorite pictures, so for this photograph Monday that is exactly what I’m going to do!

I absolutely love the picture above.  This was my brother and me, and of course, his innocent pouty look is adorable as we look back on it!

This was me all dressed up.  My mom found these cute adorable dresses at reasonable prices so she always dressed me up in them.  I literally wore nothing but dresses until kindergarten!

This was me with one of my grandma’s.  There’s nothing like a grandmother’s love.

Something about having dolls that were bigger than you were so appealing.  I had an entire collection of baby dolls, and I took care of them.  Cabbage Patches were some of my favorites.

Watch out, I’m learning how to walk, and I’m going to get you!

We were in the mountains surrounding Las Vegas.  This was us hanging out for a picnic.  I was freezing.  When you go to Vegas for the summer you prepare yourself for warm temperatures, not the decline in temperatures as you go up into the mountains.
