Lets get this MONDAY started right.

In my past, I never got the Monday Blues because I worked throughout the weekend.  However, this last year I finally got myself a job that gave me weekends and holidays off.

But that also means, the Monday Blues are starting to come around =) So, I thought I’d share some quotes to get you up and motivated for the week ahead!  Hey, it’s better than doing a Thanksgiving countdown, right? Although, I must admit, I’m looking forward to that 4 day weekend =)

Quotes for your Monday morning:

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough” Oprah

“Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.” Oprah

“The whole point of being alive is to evolve into the complete person you were intended to be.” Oprah

Life is not about waiting for the

storm to pass… it’s about learning to dance in the rain”.

Vivian Greene

You do things when the opportunities come along. I’ve had periods in my life when I’ve had a bundle of ideas come along, and I’ve had long dry spells. If I get an idea next week, I’ll do something. If not, I won’t do a damn thing.
Warren Buffett

“A life is never ended until all the lives it has touched have ended too.”

Chinese proverb, quoted at funeral of Peter Cotgrove (1929-1999), father of our colleague Nigel, held on 30 June 1999

And every person that takes the time to read this, I want you to add your own quote or inspiration to add to the week ahead =) lets hear it! Lets help inspire and motivate each other!

Happy Monday everyone!

My Lasagna!

One thing I pride myself on is my lasagna.  It tastes really good, my mom requests I make it all the time when I was back home, and I like making it for anyone that comes to visit.

I want to share the recipe with you:

Ingrediants:

1 lb. Italian Sausage

16 oz container cottage cheese

16 oz container ricotta cheese

2 jars italian sausage spaghetti sauce

2 16 oz packages mozzarella cheese

1 package lasagna noodles

Glass Casserole Dish

Preparation:

Preheat Oven to 350 degrees

Layer 1 jar of spaghetti sauce in the bottom of the glass casserole.  Cover with lasagna noodles.

Fry up the italian sausage! (In the meantime, mix together the ricotta and cottage cheese together in a bowl then spread over the lasagna noodles.  After the italian sausage is cooked, layer half on top of the cheese mixture then use one package of mozzarella cheese and layer over the italian sausage.

Add another layer of lasagna noodles, then layer the other jar of spaghetti sauce over the noodles, then layer the other half of the italian sausage then add the other package of mozzarella cheese.

Cook in the hour for 1 hour.

Let cool for 10 minutes before serving and enjoy!

My new project,

The last 3 weeks I’ve been working on a new project.  I joined a startup website called: www.crownedrebellion.com.  It does interviews with a variety of people, living life, living their dreams, and living to tell the tale about it.  There’s 10 categories on this website: visual artists, performance artists, writers, men, women, life, health, musicians, etc.  But it’s real interviews of people and how they’ve living their lives.

It’s hoping to be inspiring to others, help to promote the artists and musicians in the city of Los Angeles, and well, a different approach to telling the stories of people.

The website should be launching over the weekend, please check it out at www.crownedrebellion.com, and also check out the interviews up on youtube
