Whimsical Wednesday brings us to Paris!

For those that know me, you all know that I have a dream of going to Paris one day.  The thing that completely scares me is not knowing the language and being lost in a city that is so vast and big!

But, the thing I love about Paris is the architecture, the history, and the art culture.  So, lets bring a taste of Paris to all of you.

The Sacre Coeur, Montemarte monument is what I look forward to seeing the most when I visit Paris.  A gorgeous building with tons of grass sitting around it, and the stairs.  This gorgeous monument looks across the city of Paris and gives you a fabulous view.  To me, this is what beauty is all about!

The Notre Dame Cathedral.  Just the amazing architecture of this building is enough for me.  The beauty, the Gorgyles, and the Stained Glass inside has me captivated.  Of course, there’s history!

The Louvre Museum, a day fully spent here looking at all the art, all the history, and all the beauty of the past.  I could not go to Paris without getting a glimpse of the Mona Lisa!

As a photographer I just have to get a picture of the Arc de Triomphe.  And I won’t be able to help and look down the street to see how people drive around one of the biggest roundabouts I know of.  Every time I see pictures of that intersection I just wonder, “how?”

I’m going to be honest here.  Yes, the Eiffel Tower is iconic to Paris, however, to me, it is not my priority when going to Paris.  The fact is, you see so many images of the Eiffel Tower when you’re looking for Paris items, you see the image all the time.  I want to see things that set Paris apart from everything else.  Yes, as a photographer, I will grab pictures of the Eiffel Tower, but I won’t ride to the top to look out at the city, I wont’ stand in line to get up there.  It is a beautiful icon, but I just want us all to remember there’s more to Paris than just the Eiffel Tower.

Thanks for sharing my dream with me =)

Business2Blogger

As a beginning blogger, I threw out the question on Twitter, “How does one begin reviewing products and get access to doing fun giveaways of such products for their readership?”

I was then told to check out “Business2Blogger.”  I signed up and found out this:

There are 2 memberships for each blogger to take part in.  One is the preferred membership, in which bloggers get access to information on the businesses involved 4 hours early.

And then,

There is the basic membership, in which, the bloggers find out 4 hours after the preferred members.  I, of course, chose the preferred membership because I’m wholeheartedly diving into the blogging world, so why not see what offers are out there!

Every day they send out an email with information from businesses wanting their products reviewed from bloggers, and they are the networkers between bloggers and businesses.  I’m looking forward to seeing what opportunities lie ahead for me.

But in the meantime, hope you’ve been enjoying my blog =)

And I’ll let you know how my experience with Business2Blogger truly ends up working out!  =) Thanks for reading.

Sunset Monday

Various Sunset Pictures I have taken in the last year since arriving in LA!

This was taken at the Whale Watch Center in Palos Verdes!  I was really learning how to utilize the trees and surrounding bushes around me to make for gorgeous silohoette shots!

This is my absolute favorite sunset pic I’ve taken.  I saw the ship coming and the rays on the water and I just waited for it.  This is one of the first shots I took when out in Los Angeles, and it’s still my favorite to this day.  I didn’t realize how rare this shot would become, but it’s one I’ll treasure for a long time.

One of my favorite things to capture are the fisherman throughout the beaches and fishing docks along the Ocean.  They make for great images especially around sunset time!  A favorite indeed =)

My secret place that left me with pictures to remember for a long time.  The colors fit perfectly with the silhoette of the buildings! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to capture a sunset!
