#ad Mom Knows Best #MomsWisdom

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post on behalf of Nestle Pure Life and Linqia

Have you ever sat down to reflect on what kind of wisdom has been passed down to you, or perhaps wondered over the years how you’ve become just like your mom or dad in certain mannerisms?

Well, Nestle Pure Life knows there’s a lot of GREAT wisdom out there, and wants each us of share theirs on their facebook wall.

Because Mom’s Know Best I thought about some of the wisdom that has been shared with me over the years and thought I’d share some of that wisdom with you:

1)It doesn’t matter so much what’s on the outside as much as what’s on the inside.

I was bullied a lot as a child, and this piece of advice always stayed with me.  It really is what’s on the inside that matters.  Being nice to one another, not judging one another, and not thinking ones life is better than another, and not to chastised others decisions or how they lead their life.  This is very much how I choose to live mine.

2) Dust before any visitors come over especially if its your own mother.

This is kind of a joke.  I had a wonderful woman as a grandmother, but she could always spot the dust in the house.  My mom took this to heart, and knew dusting was very important, so the thought of dust, dust, dust is always on my mind.  Unfortunately, I don’t follow it too well.

3) Take a Calculator with You to the Grocery Store so you stay on budget.

The budget was so important to staying on track with bills, so that calculator came with us to the grocery store.  But, it kept us on track with what we needed to buy, and to make sure WE never went over budget.

4) There’s Always Room for Family.

Family comes first.  Always.  Yes, even when they drive you crazy.  Through the ups and downs in life, whether we get along with them or not, for the most part, they are always there.  So yes, family always comes first.

5) It’s Never Too Late to go back to School!

I am so proud of certain family members for going back to get their education to set their future paths.  Proud does not say it enough, and yes, it’s never too late to go back to school.

And just remember:

#ad Support Shemar Moore with his new project: The Bounce Back

Disclosure: I was asked to be apart of The Bounce Back Film Campaign as part of its first of the kind blogger initiative.  I will cover the making of the film from fundraising to premiere within the next year. I am being provided giveaways, exclusive interviews, and promotional material, but this is not a paid post. All opinions are my own.

If there’s one television show I’ve been an avid fan the best several years, it is Criminal Minds.  This show captures everything I enjoy about television.  Crime, Thought, and a Straight Forward story that sometimes leaves you guessing as to what will happen next.

I have watched this show since season 1, and own all of the seasons on DVD.  I have grown to know the characters, rooted for them, and fallen in love with the actors that are apart of the series.

So, when I heard Shemar Moore (Derek Morgan) was working on a new film project, and was wanting our help.  I jumped on board instantly.  One, absolutely love him! 2) Uhm.  Did you see the pic of him with the puppy?  And 3)  Lets be honest here, he’s good looking, as heck and 4) He’s a GREAT actor!

About the Project: The Bounce Back

The Bounce Back is destined to be a romantic comedy.  In Shemar’s own words:

“The Bounce Back” is a heartfelt romantic comedy about finding the courage to love after love has let you down.

When I read “The Bounce Back” – that very same issue was at the core of the script and the character, Matthew Taylor. I saw a lot of myself in Matthew, although I’ve never written a book (but I’m thinking about it now, hint, hint). I felt a kindred spirit to what Matthew was going through and my own life. Matthew loses his wife, his first love and after a short recovery creates a best selling book and a system of survival in order to shield himself from the pain.  He throws himself into a year long speaking tour.

That system of survival; his book and speaking tour, keeps him from falling in love again when he meets the perfect girl, the beautiful and zany Kristin Moreland. Matthew realizes that he has to renounce his book and the world he has created around it in order to take the big unknown plunge of letting himself fall in love again.

I think there is a wonderful poetry to that, the idea of risking it all for love. And I feel, in my heart, that is why we’re here on this planet. To love. After I put down the screenplay, “The Bounce Back,” I knew I had to make this movie simply because I believe in love all the way down to the fabric of my being.

Shemar’s goal is to create this film for YOU, his loyal fans.  After reading all of the love via his facebook, twitter, instagram and more he knows what you guys want, and he wants the freedom to give it to YOU!

The plan:  The team has gotten together and created a budget of 3M for this film.  In the next 30 days he’s asking US, his fans, to help raise 500,000.  The other coming from outside investors, and if we came together to raise our end of the deal, Shemar would contribute 1.5M himself to make the project happen.

So, this is where he needs our help.  30 Days!  30 Days to Raise Money for this film project.  Lets make it happen.

His campaign is on IndieGogo right now, and lets show the world that we believe in Shemar Moore, and his project.

Shemar has a little something for every person that helps to donate and make this project happen.  So, lets do this together.  Lets make this happen for him, for us, and make a dream come true.
