The Hollywood Fringe Festival Kicks off Tonight!!! June 13th through June 30th

Disclosure: I will be covering a few performances throughout this week, however, this is a non sponsored post.

I love theater.  One, they make for great date nights and two, there’s some great acting that takes place in front of you on stage, and three, there’s some pretty amazing talent going on with any stage production whether it’s the writing, the actors, or the stage sets and designers.

2013_button

On that note, The 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival officially kicks off tonight June 13th and goes through June 30th.  During the next 2 1/2 weeks, over 200 theater productions will be taking place along the streets of West Hollywood.  Every night, 8 to 12 performances a day or more.  The productions vying for the “Best of Fringe” awards in Los Angeles theater.

I first discovered the Hollywood Fringe Festival last summer through the other site I write for Life in LA.  It soon brought me back to memories I had with the Minneapolis Fringe Festival, and just the fun that truly happens in theater.

For any theater lover, the Hollywood Fringe Festival is to not be missed.  With tons of performances to choose from with something happening every night.  The shows are really affordable with some being as low as 10 dollars a seat.

If you’ve always been curious about the Los Angeles Theater scene, the next few weeks is a good time to throw yourself in head first.  Make it a date night and choose a few plays to check out within the next few weeks.

For more information about the Hollywood Fringe Festival and the theater performances be sure to check out their site here.
